Kalenderwinkel operated with two separate webshops and wanted to professionalize that setup without letting go of the existing structure. The request: bring data from two sources together, support seven languages and deliver two well-structured Shopify environments, while the team itself takes care of the design and backoffice setup.

The migration approach

Syncer carried out a complete data migration in which more than one million entities were carefully transferred. This included products and variants, collections, customers, orders and content. Mapping, normalization and quality checks ensured that data from both shops seamlessly matched the Shopify data structure of the two target environments.

Seven languages without noise

The multilingual catalog was set up across seven languages, with clear locale structures and consistent slugs. This way, navigation and findability remain logical per language, and customers in every country get the same clear experience, tailored to their language.

Collaboration under own direction

Kalenderwinkel took the lead in the visual design and Shopify backoffice. Syncer delivered the data layer and technical orchestration; the client team used that foundation to configure the theme, content and settings exactly as desired. This created an efficient division: Syncer for the migration core, Kalenderwinkel for brand and operations.

The result

Two Shopify webshops now run on cleaner data, with seven languages consistently executed and a frontend refined by the client’s own team. Management is more straightforward, expansion per language or market is easier, and the customer experience is uniform across both sites.
